Parking Lot Gate

Parking lot gate (also called parking lot gate machine or driveway gate) is a device used to manage and control vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot, usually installed at the entrance and exit of the parking lot. There are two main types of gate systems: automatic gates and manual gates, of which automatic gates are more common.

Automatic gate: Driven by an electric motor, automatically raised and lowered by remote control, license plate recognition, IC card, QR code, etc.

Manual gate: Manual operation is required, suitable for occasions where the frequency of vehicle entry and exit is low.

License plate recognition: Automatically identify vehicle license plates and provide owners with access to and from the parking lot.
IC card or QR code recognition: Based on IC card or QR code scanning system for recognition, it is suitable for parking lots used for a long time.
Remote control: Managers can raise and lower the gate through the remote control system.
Vehicle detection: Use ground induction coils or other sensors to automatically detect whether the vehicle has reached the gate position to ensure that the gate can be raised and lowered in time.
Time setting: The switch time of the gate can be set to avoid safety hazards caused by long-term opening.
Fault alarm: When the barrier fails, the system will automatically alarm and promptly remind the maintenance personnel to repair it.

Motor power: Generally between 40W and 200W, selected according to the size and load requirements of the barrier.
Opening and closing speed: Generally between 3-6 seconds, and some high-end products can provide faster opening and closing speeds.
Power supply requirements: Usually AC 220V or DC 24V (depending on the specific product).
Applicable temperature range: -20°C to +70°C, some barriers used in high temperature environments can be more resistant to high temperatures.
Working life: Generally more than 5 million times (depending on the specific model).
4. Structural design
Casing material: Mostly steel or aluminum alloy casing, with high corrosion resistance and impact resistance.
Barrier arm: Optional electric arm, telescopic arm, aluminum alloy arm, etc., common length is 3 meters to 6 meters. Some products are also equipped with multiple horizontal arms to meet the needs of different lane widths.
Waterproof and dustproof design: Ensure that the equipment can still operate stably in harsh environments.

Equipment maintenance: Regularly check the motors, sensors and other components of the barrier equipment to ensure their normal operation.
Power supply: Ensure that the barrier equipment has a stable power supply, otherwise the equipment may not work properly.
Safety: Equipped with emergency stop and automatic reverse functions to prevent vehicles or people from getting stuck.
